MATCH REPORTS September 6th The u12’s season started on the 6th September but we were not allocated a match on that day so a friendly was arranged v Innishvilla, to get these u12’s into their stride. The lads had a good run out for this particular friendly winning 4 – 2, with a number of sterling performances. We said farewell to trainer Tim McCarthy at the end of the season, but are delighted to have still on board John Keating and Robert Bohane. They have been busy in the off period and have brought in the services of Tommy O’Donovan to give them extra coaching assistance. They train every Wednesday night 6:30 – 8:00pm in Gortnaglough.
September 10th Pre Season preparations are still going well for the Ballinhassig Under 12s. After a 4 2 victory over Innishvilla, 4 days later it was the turn of Rockmounts under 12s first team who are 4 divisions above Ballinhassig on the league table. After going 2 goals down twice in this encounter Ballinhassig kept battling right to the final whistle and were unlucky not to get at least a draw from this match. Great performances from Eoin Callnan and Jack Keating, with Darren O'Leary, Michael Goggin, Jack Keating and Jason Desmond getting on the score sheet. |
